Ngayal jadi Master

Yep, spesifik. Islam di Indonesia. So, I’m thinking something that explores indonesian islamic society, women, and media.
Dan taraaa, I end up in PSKTTI website, yaitu Pusat Kajian Timur Tengah dan Islam. The cost is 11jt/semester.
I try to find a comparison and end up in Islamic State University Syarif Hidayatullah (UIN) which is much closer to home. They also offer some interesting postgraduate major, such as religion and media, da’wah and communication, etc. But I think I have to visit them to gain more info.
Postgraduate studies are expensive, I know. And because I have one baby and one toddler that may be consuming 90% of my time, I’m not pushing it now. Then, an idea of online degree emerge.
I ask citra (which is soon obtaining her PhD in Columbia Univ.) For recommendation. She said new school in NY and pittsburgh University are offering great courses. Then I checked them out
Well, they ARE interesting, and definitely challenging. Though they requiring things such as software that we should use, audio/video programs, etc.
Hence, they are also cost a lot (sigh). I could spend million rupiahs only for a short course. Education is so d*mn precious now.
So, I’m now try to be satisfied by reading free public lectures from some sites (I didn’t bookmarked the site, maybe later). It does good to refresh the brain to social theories and new thinking on the field.
It feels good to be ‘back’, though
